SUMMARY:Intelligence in the AI Era: Summer Teaching Series (Chicago)
DESCRIPTION:The Chicago session is the launch event of the Intelligence in the AI Era Teaching Series\, a program running across the summer of 2026. Further events will follow around the US and UK in the coming months. \nEvery session is free to attend and led by ERI practitioners. It is made up of 1.5 hours of intelligence training followed by 1.5 hour networking mixer. \nGenerative AI has made it easy to produce intelligence that looks authoritative. Polished\, structured\, and confident\, and produced without expertise\, without verification\, and without anyone prepared to stand behind it. \nFor corporate intelligence professionals\, security managers\, and enterprise risk teams\, this creates a real and immediate challenge: how do you know when AI-assisted intelligence is good enough to act on? How do you evaluate it\, defend it\, and take it to leadership with confidence? \nThose questions are what this series has been designed to answer. \nEach session is built around three core areas: \n\nEvaluating AI-assisted intelligence for veracity: How to assess the quality and reliability of AI-generated analysis\, identifying unsupported claims\, spotting where a model has confabulated\, and building a verification habit that works in practice.\nAnalytic rigor\, operationalized: What time-tested intelligence tradecraft looks like when it’s applied to modern AI workflows. We’ll walk through what a rigorous methodology looks like end to end\, and where analysts can build it into their process without starting from scratch.\nIntelligence that’s auditable\, accountable\, and defensible: What it means to produce intelligence you can stand behind\, for a leadership briefing\, a board paper\, a regulatory submission\, or a high-stakes decision.
