Ben Brandt co-founded the Corporate Intelligence Analysis, Training, and Writing course with Emergent Risk in 2015. He serves as an Advisor to the company and co-teaches the training course twice a year. Ben Brandt is also the lead security intelligence analyst at Cargill, where he monitors and assesses political and security risks impacting business operations and commodity markets in Asia-Pacific. Prior to joining Cargill, Ben worked as director of South Asia research for a political risk consultancy in Abu Dhabi and built the first threat analysis program for Delta Airlines. Previously he worked for the State of New Jersey and as a consultant for Booz Allen Hamilton. He holds an MA in Security Studies from Georgetown University, and has published extensively on counterterrorism and critical infrastructure related topics.
Munish Puri is the founder of Presearch Strategy. Munish works with Emergent Risk to bring integrated technological solutions into the risk intelligence world, contributing to training and consulting projects. He previously worked for Recorded Future, which aggregates and visualizes forecasts from the web and social media. Recently, he has worked for The Carter Center in Liberia and consulted independently on political risk, international business strategy, and social media in New York, London, and Johannesburg. He has previously worked in technology in San Francisco, nuclear policy in New Delhi, and security policy in DC. Munish is a graduate of the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
